My view about India

Sometimes, I don't know why I like India so.

It's messy and chaotic. It has smelly open sewers and a billion people, most of whom stare at me as I walk down the street. It has beggars who tug at my arm and grown men who pee and spit their way through the city. It has autorickshaw drivers who drive me insane (pun intended) and pushy shopkeepers who insist "madam, madam, I will show you beautiful pashminas" as I walk by their stores. It has breathtakingly beautiful beaches defiled with human waste. It has enticing mountains of fruits and vegetables, crawling with flies. Its plastic-bag garbage breaks my heart.

And yet.

It moves me.
Everywhere, it is teeming with humanity trying to find some way to survive. The 8-year-old boy on the street, eeking out a few rupees each day by selling safety pins. The dignified old man with an ancient sewing machine who has set up a tailoring shop on the sidewalk.

Bright-eyed schoolchildren, in colorful uniforms and with hair neatly braided, who giggle and cover their smiles shyly with their hands. Inquisitive strangers who say hello on the street. Generous, caring friends who treat me like family. Intelligent, passionate, and vibrant work colleagues who make me look forward to each work day.

And it mesmerizes me.
Autorickshaws squeezing into spaces barely big enough for a bicycle. I catch my breath in wonder as motorcycles, pedestrians, and bicycles dart in and out of traffic. The thousands of people who gather at the beach every Sunday afternoon, staring off into the ocean. They stare at the ocean, and I stare at them: what are they all thinking/seeing? The soothing sound of the waves that lulls me to sleep each night. Lovely women in colorful saris who manage to look graceful riding sidesaddle on a motorcycle. The throngs of devotees congregating at temples each day.

And it makes me smile.
Where else would I see a goat squeezed in between two humans on a motorcycle? Or have a security guard at work greet me each morning with a snappy salute? Or see cows ambling down the street in between the cars, motorcycles, and pedestrians? Or have an entrepreneuring young man with a bubbly smile who delivers water, the newspaper, and my favorite pound cake to my door at 7 am every day, ask cheerfully each morning, when he sees me set off for work: "You are off to duty, then?"

Maybe this is what having a child is like? They're messy, and unruly, and they drive you crazy. They make you scream with frustration and wear you out. But every parent says they wouldn't have it any other way.

How do you know your wife is really into you.?

Check for signs. Following are really a good primer to start with

- She is always busy with Kids. No extra time.

- She shows less general interest in her partner's comings and goings

- She dresses up for work, but seems to care less about whether her partner finds her attractive

- She has less interest in sex with her partner

- She's keeping an irregular schedule and spending more time at work

- She seems happy, except when she's around her partner

- She shows less tolerance of her partner's friends and family

- There are unresolved issues in the relationship that have either been ignored or not resolved in a way that's satisfying to her

- She's in a child-centric marriage that prioritizes parenting and neglects a couple's relationship, with few opportunities for romance and alone time

- She does not care

How an American Lady put me in Jail - Dr. Madduri

[I am] a physician from India who immigrated to the United States 38 years ago and [has] been in private practice in South East Missouri for more than a quarter century.

On June 26, 2008, I traveled from St Louis to Las Vegas to attend AAPI annual convention by Southwest flight 1226. Two hours into the flight, I tried to go to the bathroom ( I take a blood pressure medicine with diuretic that makes one 'go' more often). As I was sitting in row six, I walked to the front lavatory. The flight attendant, named Lora Lee Minton, abruptly stopped me and essentially shouted at me, "Go back! This bath room is occupied, and you cannot stand here."

Shocked and dumbfounded at this unfriendly behavior, I went back and sat in my seat. Two minutes later, I saw the lavatory door opening and I got up and walked towards the bath room again. The same flight attendant (Lora Lee Minton) screamed at me, "I told you not to go to that bathroom," and started pushing me into my seat. I was totally confused at this erratic behavior, and told her that I had been taking medicine and I had to go to the toilet. I even tried to walk past Ms.Minton as I was very uncomfortable.

"I told you not to go," she pushed me into my seat! I was lost. I flew many times but had never experienced a rude and unfriendly behavior like this. Confused and not knowing what to do, I went back and sat in my seat. I saw the pilot came out of the lavatory, walked into the cockpit and closed the door behind him. Later I could use the bathroom.

The sequence of events that followed were more frightening and beyond the scope of any one's imagination. As the plane landed in Las Vegas , I was escorted by two police officers and was handed over to the FBI. The FBI interrogated me at length and for the first time, I was told that the flight attendant, Ms.Lora Lee Minton, reported that I was causing 'disturbance' during the flight. I was also told that when the pilot is out of the cockpit, no one is supposed get up from their seat, till the pilot goes back to his seat. This apparently is a federal law being enforced since 9/11 and no one ever told me, nor was it announced during the flight.

That night I was taken through federal centers for further investigation. I was hand-cuffed, finger printed and was 'processed' as a common criminal. I was told repeatedly that my background was checked and I had no criminal record. Even after checking my back ground and even after confirming it by calling my family members (Our two children that live in St Louis and Houston, Texas ) and my professional partner (urologist from Poplar Bluff, Missouri ), I still had to go through the harassment. I was dragged through Federal court buildings that night with hand and ankle cuffs, left in cells for hours before I was interrogated and was threatened repeatedly with abusive language: 'Shut up,' 'I am going to kick your ass,' to name a few. Finally I was taken to a federal detention center in Las Vegas and was ushered into a large jail cell! I spent the night in jail with 43 prisoners - most of them drug dealers and picked up at street fights!

The next day I went through processing in a federal court building and presented in front of a Federal Judge. The public defender told me that my 'case' was decided and I would be released if I pleaded guilty and paid a fine of $2,500. He also told me that I could refuse to plead guilty, contest the judgment and even could win, but could be taking a long time, cost more and might result in multiple trips to Las Vegas.

Exhausted, depressed and completely deflated, I agreed to what ever the public defender suggested and got out after 24 hours of 'living hell'.

I endured the most horrifying and traumatic 24-hours of my life for a crime I sincerely believe I did not commit. A simple statement by the flight attendant (Lora Lee Minton) in normal tone of voice that I was not supposed to wait in front of the toilet when it was occupied by the pilot, would have saved the ghastly ordeal.

I was told repeatedly by the prison guards, some of the FBI officials (not all of them were rude), the prison inmates who heard my story that the reason I was targeted was because of my skin color (brown) and ethnic background (South Asian, Indian).

When I returned home, I did not feel like lying flat and take the abuse, more so the incident involved not only me but an entire race and ethnic group. I sent my story to local, state and national news papers including all the major Indian news publications. The response was overwhelming: the news papers were very receptive; I received numerous e-mails, letters, phone-calls, sympathy and supportive cards; every one wanted me to 'fight-it-out' and 'not to keep quite and do nothing.'

I did send my story to ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) of Missouri and Nevada , yet I haven't heard from them yet, though I was told that my experience had merit. I contacted attorneys locally as well as in St Louis and was told that they were looking for proper attorneys that specialize in civil liberties cases; I was told by some that I should not have pleaded guilty and should find eye-witnesses that would testify in my favor.

During 30 years of my stay in America , I never felt so threatened nor my rights so violated as I did that fateful night. 'You are not guilty until proven otherwise', the anthem we are made to believe all the time was turned out to be not true; I was guilty until prove my self innocent. I was treated like a guilty person and was never given a chance even to tell my side of the story. Even after the incidence, I am finding it difficult to prove my innocence. I want Southwest Air Lines to realize their mistake and drop charges against me. I did contact Southwest airlines and was informed that they were standing by their stewardess and the issue had no racial profile or bias.

Melbourne, Dec 28,2008 (ANI): An Indian man whose genitals were allegedly set on fire by his wife lost his battle to survive at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Satish Narayan, 47, was in a critical condition in hospital after suffering burns to most of his body. And yesterday the engineer succumbed to his injuries.

Police has declared the incident a major crime and it is likely his wife, Rajini, will face a charge of manslaughter or murder.

Rajini- Indian Lady outside the court

It has been alleged that Narayan’’s wife doused his penis with methylated spirit and then set him on fire about 5.30am on December 7, reports News.com.au.

Mrs Narayan had been charged with causing serious harm to her husband, arson and endangering her children.

It is believed a major blaze was sparked at the couple’’s Cleland Ave townhouse in Unley when Narayan jumped out of bed and knocked over the bottle of methylated spirit.

Narayan suffered burns to 85 per cent of his body. His wife and their three kids, however, escaped unharmed from the burning house

Ramesh Advani groped a girl in Hongkong plane

Imagine being a woman and falling asleep on a long airline flight, only to wake up because a stranger next to you has his hands in places no stranger should touch. That very horror happened to a woman on a flight coming into Newark Liberty International Airport.

Ramesh Advani, 63, was surrounded by family as he left the federal courthouse in Newark Monday. He's been charged with molesting a woman sleeping next to him on a Continental flight from Hong Kong to Newark after being arrested by FBI agents.

According to the federal complaint, passengers behind the sleeping woman said they kicked her seat to wake her up when they saw what Advani, they said, was doing. Those witnesses told the FBI Advani molested the woman under the blanket with his hands. In fact, the federal complaint against Advani goes into explicit detail about what he did with his hands and fingers.

According to the complaint:

"The victim fell asleep in the victim's seat. The victim had a blanket covering the victim's body, from at least her chest down to at least her thighs. Defendant Advani reached his hands under the victim's blanket, and knowingly and intentionally touched the victim."

Advani, a resident of Berkeley Heights, put up his own property to secure the $100,000 bond for his bail.

Because the alleged sexual attack occurred while the plane was over the high seas and not over a state or another country, it is being handled by the FBI.

Ramesh Advani to serve five years for immoral act. Should have stayed in India.

August 2011

A 65-year-old New Jersey man, who pleaded guilty in April to sexually assaulting a sleeping traveler during a Continental Airlines international flight from Hong Kong to Newark in May 2010, was sentenced Monday to a year in prison.

Ramesh Advani, of Berkeley Heights, admitted that while seated next to the victim during the overnight flight, he placed his hand under her blanket and sexually assaulted her. Passengers seated behind Advani and the victim saw what was happening and kicked the woman's seat to alert her to the abuse.

When the woman awoke, she realized what Advani was doing and left her seat to inform airline personnel, said U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman. When the flight landed at Newark's Liberty International Airport, Advani, who was represented Monday by Attorney John Arlia of New York, was detained until police arrived.

In addition to the prison sentence, U.S. District Judge Dennis Cavanaugh ordered Advani to serve five years of supervised release and pay a $10,000 fine. Originally, the defendant faced three years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. Special agents of the FBI, under the supervision of Newark FBI Special Agent Michael B. Ward were credited for the investigation that led to Advani's guilty plea.

According to the US Department of Justice website, the federal government has exclusive jurisdiction over all sexual abuse cases that occur in American aircrafts over international waters, because these crimes do not fall under the jurisdiction of any particular state.

India as a country is a neutral country. In cold war they did not join US side or Russian side. The truth is Indian soldiers are cowards. They are afraid of war.

Only war Indian men know is war against woman and the weak.

Tell me any war Indians have fought. Yes with Pakistan. Wonderful. Pakistan was part of India and split up and revolted against motherland. So Indians defended,

But with Ladies Indian men has an upper hand. It is their right to make sure all ladies will listen to Indian Men.

See what Indians did to this young girl

The 32 year old woman named Thangjam Manorama alias Henthoi was brutally tortured and allegedly executed by personnel of the paramilitary force of 17 Assam Rifles stationed in Manipur, after she was picked by them on the early hours of 11 July 2004.

According to the victim's family, troops of the 17 Assam Rifles along with two Manipuri speaking people came to their house in Bamon Kampu, Imphal East District around midnight of 11 July 2004 and they broke the door and entered the house. At that time, Manorama was sleeping in her room. When the security personnel found her, they dragged her out from her bed and beat up the family members when they tried to stop them. Then they locked the house door from outside and brutally assaulted Manorama after blind folding her and tying her hand and feet.
At around 3:30 a.m. of July 11, the security personnel took Manorama along with them. They issued a memo of arrest to the family. In the memo of arrest, Havildar, General Duty of the Assam Rifles Suresh Kumar (Army no. 173355) and Riflemen T. Lotha (Army no. 173916) and Ajit Singh (Army no. 173491) put their signatures as authority and witnesses. According to the memo of arrest, no incriminating documents or articles were found with Manorama at the time of her arrest. The army personnel also forced the family to sign on some papers that they do not know about. The army personnel told the family that Manorama would be handed over to the Irilbung police in the morning. A report filed at the Irilbung Police Station in the early morning of 11 July 2004 indicated that Manorama was taken by the Assam Rifles personnel.

However, the bullet ridden body of Manorama was found at around 5:00 p.m. on 11 July 2004 by the villagers at Keirao Wangkhem Road near Ngariyan Maring Village, about four kilometers from the family's house. When it was found, the body wore no proper clothes. There were finger-scratch marks were found all over the body and a gashing wound probably made by knife was found on her right thigh, too. Several fatal bullet wounds were seen on her back, the upper buttock and the genitalia. Manorama's family strongly believes that she had been raped and then killed by the army personnel.

A post-mortem on the victim's body was conducted on July 11 at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal but the victim&'s family insisted that it was not conducted properly according to the guidelines laid down by the National Human Rights Commission. Until now, the family has been refusing to receive the body calling for proper and independent post-mortem and the victim's body is still in the RIMS morgue.

However, the official spokesman of 9 Sector Assam Rifles said on July 11 that Manorama was a member of the banned Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) and was shot dead when she tried to flee while leading the Assam Rifles to a PLA hide out. The spokesman contradicted the memo of arrest given to the victim's mother saying that a wireless radio, a hand grenade and sheaf of incriminating documents were seized from Manorama at the time of her arrest.

Well done Indian military.

I have heard one countries military doing bad things while they are in another country for war purposes. But raping their on country man wearing military uniform is only accepted in India.

Indian government does not even want to look into this.

Even the ladies of the state committed suicide, went on hunger strike. But Indian government was competing against China to become the next super power in the world.
